The Australian Institute of Architects (South Australian Chapter) Prizes
Whereas the Australian Institute of Architects (South Australian Chapter) has agreed to provide annual prizes of the total value of $1000 in the School of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design, the following rules are hereby made:
1. The prizes shall be called "The Australian Institute of Architects (South Australian Chapter) Prizes".
2. (a) Three prizes shall be awarded by the Executive Dean of the Faculty in the amount of $100 each, for the following groups of courses in the Bachelor of Design Studies (major in Architecture):
(i) Level I Bachelor of Design Studies compulsory courses.
(ii) Level II Bachelor of Design Studies compulsory courses.
(iii) Level III Bachelor of Design Studies compulsory courses Design forSustainable Community and Architecture Design Studio.
In each group of courses the prize shall be awarded to the student enrolled in the program for the degree of Bachelor of Design Studies who, in the annual assessment, obtains the highest aggregate of results in that group of courses.
(b) Two prizes shall be awarded by the Executive Dean of the Faculty, in the amount of $200 each, for the following groups of courses, or course in the Master of Architecture:
(i) Architecture Studio and Urban Design Studio
(ii) Architecture Processes
(c) One prize shall be awarded by the Executive Dean of the Faculty, in the amount of $300 each, for a course in the final semester of the Master of Architecture:
(iii) Architecture Project.
In each group of courses, or course, the prize shall be awarded to the student enrolled in the Master of Architecture or the ‘architecture stream’ of the Master of Architecture/ Master of Landscape Architecture program who, in the annual assessment obtains the best result in that group of courses, or course.
(d) No award of a prize shall be made if no candidate is considered by the School to be of sufficient merit.
3. Where two or more candidates are of equal merit, the relevant prize(s) shall be shared equally in any of the above categories.
4. These rules may be varied by agreement between the University and the Australian Institute of Architects (South Australian Chapter).
